Babys last name - mum or dad's? (Only if your not with father of the baby)

Question

So we are not together and I the baby is having my last name even if we were together I'd want the baby to have my name.
Anyone else...don't want to be horrible to him but we are not together and it's my choice it hasn't got to be his?
I know most babys have dad's last name but in this case we are not together so don't see why the baby should

I’m giving my baby my last name! Everyone is telling me it’s wrong, because every baby gets the father’s last name, but in my head I can’t help thinking, I’m carrying, and delivering this baby, the least I could get is the last name!! To each their own I suppose :)

If I wasn’t with the father, I’d give the baby my last name, Bri g the one who will most likely be primary parent. 
If we were together but not married, hyphenated last name. 
If we were married, the fathers last name, which I will have as well.

Mother’s last name. My son has my last name(not together with father). When I have my daughter she will also have my last name but I’m thinking of hyphenating it only because me and her dad will most likely marry

My baby’s father and I are very much together, but I still want the baby to have both last names (not hyphenated though).  A women carry the baby in their body for 9 months (ok, 8 really) and give birth, but the mom just has to drop her name at marriage and give the baby the male’s last name?  What kind of patriarchal BS is that?
