Hi ladies. I'm going to have my first laparoscopic excision on Monday, and afterwards the doctor is prescribing me 600mg Ibuprofen, this other pain medication I can't remember the name of, and Percocets. I told her I probably won't take the Percocets because I don't like narcotics, but she said she's prescribing them anyway just in case. For the ladies who have had this procedure before, I'm wondering if that kind of pain killer was necessary for you... Will I really be in that much pain and need it? I know the surgery is pretty noninvasive, so I didn't think I'd need all that. If I don't truly need it then I don't even want to pick it up at the pharmacy. Also, I'm starting to get nervous about the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful that I'm having it done, but the nerves are definitely starting to kick in.
