Did you wait the full 6 weeks to have sex after having baby? Or did you have it sooner? Some say 4 weeks some say 6.. what did you do?

6 weeks is said for a reason. The risk of infection is very high, as the placenta detaching leaves an open wound in the uterus. Risk of postpartum hemorrhage is also a risk. Not worth it. Get cleared by doctor first.

Did at about 3.5-4 weeks! 
I felt good, healed, painless, and was not bleeding anymore. We just took it slow and it was only “tight” feeling for a minute and then my body relaxed and everything was great! 
At my 6 week appointment I Told my doctor about feeling up to it at 4 weeks and she voiced no concern. 
I did not get an infection or anything and didn’t harm and of my 5 internal stitches (she said that’s most likely because they were already healed & dissolved by that time) 
She said it’s YOUR body, when YOU feel healthy & healed make YOUR OWN decisions about YOUR health! And I stand by that!

We planned on waiting the full 6 but we couldn't help ourselves and caved at 4.🙈 Personally I had no pain or negative effects, just fun!

I’m currently 3 days pp and just the thought of sex make my vagina hurt😂 I will wait for the 6 weeks or maybe even longer just like I did after I had my son!

We had sex the night before my 6 week appointment, I was over 6 weeks pp.  we waited for a reason. They said 6 weeks so that’s how long we waited.

I did at 4 weeks pp and I am pretty sure that was how I ended up with an infection. Also, it really did not feel good.

I waited the full 6 weeks with my first and will do so again now with my second. I am not going to risk anything.
