Question

FTM does anyone else watch their baby breathe ? Or freak out over SIDS ? I’m so scared of SIDS and stuff that I will wake up on my own every 30-45 minutes just to make sure my baby is still breathing. He sleeps in the bassinet attached to the pack n play beside my bed but I still freak out. Anyone else ??

Yes. I bought an owlet monitor when she was born. Some people domt like it but if something happens the owlet will notify me. When she takes naps during the day and I don’t have the sock on her I literally just stand there and watch her take a breath

I always woke up to check my baby was breathing. Shes 2 now and i still check once or twice  a night 😅

I do not but if you are practicing the ABCs of safe sleep then you are doing everything in your power to protect baby. Chances of SIDS is like 1 in 116,000 when safe sleep is practiced so that’s how I sleep at night. Hopefully that helps you too! If it continues I would talk to your doc because it can be a sign of PPA

I’m the same way, my baby just turned 3 weeks today. I check on him over every noise and if I don’t hear any noise 😅
I’m so afraid he’s going to spit up in his sleep and suffocate or roll over on his stomach and suffocate. Or that he’ll just stop breathing for no reason. 
He sleeps for right at 2 hours but it takes me 30 minutes to an hour to fall asleep because I check on him so much. 
The bassinet is right beside my bed too.

I dont, I can hear him breathing and if I cant I crack my water bottle and he moves. But I dont wake up at all, momma needs her sleep! 
Also my son sleeps in a pack n play . Flat surface so i know he cant choke on anything . (:
