I’m due to return to work on Thursday as my maternity leave has come to an end (I’m using annual leave at the moment) but I just don’t feel ready at all. My little boy was 8 weeks on Friday and it just feels far too soon to leave him ☹️ every time I think about leaving him it just makes me cry. I left him for the first time last night just to go to the shop and I even cried then, how am I going to cope going to work?!

I’m due to see my doctor tomorrow for my post birth check and the HV said that I should speak to them about getting a sick note as I’m not ready. Have any of you done anything like this before?
