Having trouble pooping

Hello mommies, I have a question when my baby is 2 months old I bought gripe water and this came with it but it's said 6 months plus so I saved it and now my baby is having trouble pooping again she's now 8 months old. I have not open this yet, can I still use it? If so how can I use it? Is it safe ? Thank you in advance.
