I’m pregnant with my first and work in a management field in a pretty fast-paced retail environment. Bending, walking, standing, merchandising, tending to customers, etc is what I do. I started working late in the year due to HG complications and eventually needing surgery so, any kind of paid maternity leave is off the table. However, they do give you up to 12 weeks of unpaid ( or paid if you’ve worked there long enough ) leave. I’m due August 4th and really can’t decide when to begin taking leave? I spoke to my upper manager about it and he said we’ll begin the paperwork when I’m ready to.

Is the start of 38 weeks too soon? I really can’t take the full 12 weeks off due to moving into an apartment relatively soon so money is definitely needed! lol

Any advice would be helpful!
