How are you announcing?

I’m currently 11 weeks 4 days pregnant and we finally told our families last week! We want to announce it publicly sometime within the next month or so, but I have hated every idea I have come up with on how to announce (on social media). 
It’s our first baby and we have no pets or anything. I’d love to see your announcements for some inspiration!!

My husband and I are outdoorsy and love to fish, so we’re going to take a picture out on our boat this weekend and add the caption ‘We’re gonna need a bigger boat’ as a Jaws spinoff. I think we might get a pair of baby waders or baby life jacket to hold up with the ultrasound? 💙🤰🏼🌊🎣

I'm due the 26th so I'm having my son hold a sign that says something like "Santa isnt the only one coming to town this year.. baby smith due dec 2019" pinterest has a bunch of stuff, I love the ones with the calendar with the due date in a heart with a onesie or something. Do you guys have any mutual hobbies you can incorporate?

I like what someone else said about adding personal touches and something both of you like
My husband is German and we currently live in Germany (I’m American). Oktoberfest is know worldwide tho so for our first October baby in 2016, we were both hold Stein Oktoberfest glasses and clinking our glasses together to cheers. I was wearing a dirndl dress and him lederhosen. 
For this Xmas baby, we are going to have our 2 yr old holding 2 hot cocoa glasses that you get at the Xmas markets in germany and write something like “can’t wait to share my hot cocoa with my little brother/sister” :) excited cuz it kinda goes along with our first announcement

To make it a little less generic, maybe try incorporating something you and you SO both love and can’t wait to share with baby. For example, if you like hiking you could post some little baby hiking boots or something like that. My husband and I like Game of Thrones so we got shirts off of Etsy to announce with.

I’m thinking about maybe doing the wider announcement on our wedding anniversary- sharing a photo with one of our wedding pictures paired with an ultrasound photo.

We’re not announcing. I’m not going to HIDE being pregnant, but I’m not going to specifically announce. I’m going to be sending a text to my best friend once we get our NIPT back this week because I think she’d be bummed if I never told her and that’s about it.
