Wondering if I should potty train my 20 month old who peed this week on the potty and tells me if he’s about to poop...BUT we are taking several trips this summer and doing swim so idk?! 🤷‍♀️

If he's showing signs he's ready definitely try it out. But don't force it.

I say go for it but don't force anything. And still wear a swim diaper! They only hold poop anyways.

Take his lead! There no RIGHT age to do it. It all depends on when they are ready. My first asked to use the potty and we ran with it, she potty training pretty easy and she was a little over 2. 
My son turned 2 in January and so far shows no signs of being ready, i know if i try now, it will be a long and drawn out process. 
Plus you can always pull back if he isnt ready, no harm in trying if he is asking

Do it! It sounds like he’s communicating with you about it, which will definitely help.
I read “oh crap! Potty training” and found it very helpful. It gave me lots of confidence to start.
Trips are tricky and you’ll have to plan more stops. I recommend putting something down in the car seat to help if there’s an accident (nothing bulky!!!! Keep it as safe as possible!!!!)
For swimming, keep the swim diaper on. My daughter still wears one, but we’ve only needed it once or twice since she started potty training. She used to poop EVERY week in the pool.
My daughter still uses a diaper at naps and night, too. She was just too young to consolidate her pee for long at all. We will try it again this summer. It doesn’t seem to confuse her at all and she prefers to use the toilet.
