Ear piercing age?

How old would be a good age for daughters ear piercing? My baby is 2 months right now. If you have a daughter, when did you get them pierced?

When they asked to get it done. I don’t like seeing little babies with ear rings in and I wouldn’t put my child through it to young! But it’s up to the parent really! I’d want it to be something that they wanted.

Got them pierced at 3 months. She’s never pulled on them and they’ve never got snagged on anything. They healed beautifully.

Typically once they’ve had their first round of all their shots. So around 6 months. I don’t have a daughter so don’t quote me on that but I’m pretty sure it’s 6m+.

My first daughter I did at 4 months. But she had a habit of pulling them and she ripped one of her earlobes. Now she is 7 and doesn’t like to wear earrings. My second daughter I’m waiting until she asks me for them.

Personally I would wait until she is older, honestly even 10 or 11 years old. That way she can say yes or no. People say it hurts more when they're older but I disagree, I think it's the same amount of pain they just express it differently. A teenager or preteen might complain but a baby will only cry for a few minutes. Also for me it's too much work to clean them every day, I'd rather make them do that. But to each their own.

I would wait until she decided she wants them. Babies don't need earrings. Especially since piercings opens you up to the possibility of infections.
