Mine was pretty pink when I first switched to the pregnancy jewelry. But, trimming my jewelry really helped and it is fine now. I think it was just too long and being rubbed the wrong way. If you can trim the plastic and re-screw on the top, I recommend doing so! I'm not sure if they all do it or not but on the ones I got from Amazon say that they can be trimmed. If you do trim them, i had to trim it at a slight angle to get it to re-screw on. Good luck!

No not infected unless puss is coming out. Just looks irritated. I switched to the pregnancy ring not too long ago and mine did the same thing so I switched back and my regular belly ring is actually more comfortable because the skin is formed to shape the metal belly rings. The plastic ones are straight so putting something straight in a curved hole just makes things worse lol

Looks like it might be try warm salt water. and or take the ring out.

It looks questionable. I would take it out if you have had it awhile, wash with dial antibacterial soap, and see what it does without the jewelry in it
