Cervical checks???

Question

I know they normally start around 36w but i asked my OB about it today and he said he doesnt do it until 39w. 
Definitely not looking forward to it, just wondering how common it is for OBs to wait that long. 
When will your OB start doing cervical checks??

On my next OB visit I’ll be a day before 34 weeks and I’m having a cervical check and swab done.

Mine doesn’t even check. Says there is no reason to check because things change so fast. He does start if you’re overdue though just to get an idea I guess

It’s normal. You could be 2cm displayed from 30 weeks on and it doesn’t mean much

Mine doesn’t start till 38 weeks. Really isn’t that bad honestly just some pressure.

At 36 weeks my OB said she starts and will have a swab done.

My doctor said she doesn’t do them unless she’s asked. I normally ask around 36 weeks and I’m always 2 cm by then and in labor the next week

Usually around 36wks. That seems a bit late cause you could have baby at 38wks or even 37wks. It happens.

Ours at 36w. I just got checked last week due to some worry of preterm labor and I was 1cm and 70% effaced. They will be checking more frequently now to make sure everything is going good. My first did this too and I ended up being pulled because of preterm.

Cervical checks???
