Would you put your child in a church preschool if you’re not religious??

Question

I’m not here to debate anyone or even really talk religion I’m just struggling. 
My husband and I are both atheist.
We started looking into preschool and it seems like the best ones in our price range are all at churches.. 
Does it matter? I went to one, but idk.
Does anyone know if they actually talk about religion that much in the preschool?

Yes, most teach christianity/bible. We have tons of schools like that near us and we found the same problem. We're ok with religion we just don't want the baby brainwashed either.

Most of the ones around us are catholic so I wouldn’t send my daughter to those as I’m not catholic nor is my husband. I wouldn’t want them to teach her their teachings. There are others around us just a little farther away but just as good so I don’t mind it. That’s just us tho.

Some catholic schools are a bit more forceful with their teachings but just a basic nondenominational preschool shouldn’t really teach too much on the Bible. If anything they teach the basics of Christianity which are things like, being kind, helping others, showing love, accepting others for who they are. They would only teach things children understood.

I'm not religious but I'm putting my daughter in a church preschool. First of all, its preschool. It's not going to shape their entire lifetime view. Secondly, it's more affordable than private preschool and is much higher quality than the public preschool in my district. Thirdly, even though I'm not religious I think its important for my kids to have a deep understanding of the bible/christianity so that they may form their own opinions and have educated conversations/conclusions in the future.

I was in a church preschool. As an adult I believe in a higher being but am not at all religious. The most I remember that they really talked about was all the basic “facts” of it all. Like the 7 days and Jesus dying for our sins and we would sing Jesus songs like “Jesus loves me” and stuff like that. We also did lots of crafts that were unrelated but I do believe it was a very religious experience for me. I grew up in that church though as well, going to youth group and church on sundays and everything all the way until I was maybe 12. So it’s possible the fact my family was so immersed in it made it more of a religious experience but I don’t know. I don’t look at the church as bad either, even though I’m not religious anymore. I always felt very safe and taken care of. I did suck it all up like a sponge though, and never made my own decisions on how I felt just taking it all as facts until I was older. If your intention is for your kid to also be atheist it may not be the best idea. Especially bc they may start to ask you questions about god and stuff, which obviously wouldn’t align with your beliefs. Bottom line is I think it would be a safe choice but it’s more about what you want in your kids head. Kids really do believe anything and everything you tell them lol.
