8 month old prefers solids over breastmilk?

My 8 month old most of the time refuses to nurse but will cry because he’s hungry. He stares at his highchair and cries. When I give him solids he doesn’t start it all. I’m really concerned about This.
Has this happened to anyone else ? What did you do to fix it?

My baby went through a stage around that age when he wouldn’t nurse but would take milk out of a cup. I chalked it up to him teething and being too busy to want to sit still to nurse. He’s 10 months now and does just fine with the boob again. Maybe that could be an option, since milk should still be primary nutrition?

Probably just prefers the taste of food over breast milk at this point. Since he's 8 months he does need more than just breast milk at this point. If you want to keep breastfeeding him try offering him a boob when he's not hungry hungry, like as a snack. He might take then. If not, you could pump and try offering him a bottle instead.
