BAD HEADACHES!!!😢

Amanda

Hi ladies!

I’ve been getting horrible headaches since I started my second trimester. They are usually triggered by rainy days or overcast. This past headache has been for a straight 24 hours and I finally caved and took one extra strength Tylenol. I haven’t taken any medications throughout my pregnancy but I just couldn’t take the pain anymore. I’ve been using hot/cold compresses, someone suggested peppermint tea. Nothing seems to be helping. Does anyone have any suggestions for natural remedies that will help with headaches/migraines throughout the rest of my pregnancy? (Ps I spoke to ob/gyn about this and he didn’t seem too worried and just told me to take Tylenol)

Any suggestions are much appreciated!! 🤗

I had really bad headaches too. My mom told me to drink a cup of coffee and it worked like a charm. Caffeine helps. Tylenol never did anything for my headaches

Ah I’m sorry you’re going through that. I’ve just started getting them frequently and found an ice pack at the top of my neck/base of my skull is good. Tiger Balm on my temples helps or drinking ice water. Nothing takes it away but it at least temporarily helps with the pain. Hope they don’t last too long.

Sorry you’re going through this. When I first entered the 2nd trimester I had a headache for 10 days straight. Nothing could relieve it. When I talked to my doctor he said it’s most likely just due to the increase in blood volume my body was producing. He also reminded me to stay hydrated and well fed, even if I don’t feel like eating or drinking.

Ice pack for your face/forehead with a couple of drops of lavender oil on it

I’m in the same boat, but I’ve always been impacted by bad weather when it comes to my sinuses/allergies/getting headaches. I take Tylenol as needed, use peppermint oil on my forehead/temples and up my water intake... sometimes add Nuun tablets for extra electrolytes!
