sonohysterogram or hysteroscopy? Please help!

Question

I am scheduled a FET but due to a suspected polyp I was advised by my nurse to have a Hysteroscopy. 
Is that more invasive? Could I not just have a sonohysterogram instead?
What is the difference? Anyone had either done before. Please comment. Thanks x

I had a hysteroscopy for polyp removal and it wasn’t bad at all. I went to the surgical center and was under light sedation. You can go to work the next day. I personally thought the sonahystogram was more uncomfortable because there was no sedation. Don’t worry, you will do fine!

I had both done last week SHG Thursday and HSG Friday. They were a bit uncomfortable but 100% fine. I was super nervous too bc so many ppl have different feelings after but it wasn’t bad at all. I’d go for the HSG to confirm there’s no blockage in the Fallopian tubes.

I had hyteroscopy to get a small polyp removed. It wasn’t that bad and I was back at work the next day.

I had the hysteroscopy for polyp removal. Normally you can go home the same day itself. Its less invasive

I've had both.  If there truly is a polyp there, and they seem to have a desire to remove it, the only way to do it is by hysteroscopy.  The Sono will just give them an accurate picture.  I lean towards one less procedure and do the hysteroscopy.
