Restarting breast milk production

Courtney • Wife 👰🏾🤵🏻 💙4/15/19 💙 8/11/20 due 9/4/22

So I have only been able to get out 2-4 oz per day. He eats that amount in a feeding. Also his tummy was really messed up from the combo of formula and breastmilk. The other day I had a terrible allergic reaction to something we still dont know what it was. I havent pumped or given him the beast since (fear of him having a reaction). My boobs are flat and nothing will come out. How do I restart the supply? It was only 4 days but is that enough time for you milk production to dry up?

I had my pump stolen so I’m waiting for my replacement and had the same question since I can’t pump for a few days. There is a ton of info online through google. It’s called relactation.

Thanks! Ive been trying to do that but I’ll do it more. I have my hakaa (not sure the spelling) and I’ve been trying to get my son to latch even though he won’t without my shields (that were also in the bag threat was stolen).

You should hand express. It’ll make it easier to keep your supply.

My friends dried up in a few days she said out of nowhere her milk was gone she even had her doc prescribe her something to help it come back but it never did. Hopefully that’s not the case for you!

I hardly was producing anyway so it's just a bit sad.

I'm not sure how to get it restarted but if it happens again I would pump and dump so you dont lose your supply.
