Appropriate Parent Behavior?

My hubby and I just had our first baby. Violet is 7 weeks old :-). My husband recently asked me when he should stop being naked around her. He usually wears his underwear around the house and sleeps naked (lol). Sometimes when she starts screaming he’ll just jump up and feed and swaddle or whatever needs to be done. When do you stop this around your children?

We have 3 kids. We stopped when the boys were 2+ years old. That’s when they start commenting on what’s different and also when they can start remembering things they see and say. Before that you’re good!

When they stop being children usually. My dad walked around in his underwear until I was 11-12. Children only start thinking it’s weird when they are becoming adults

I think when they start being aware and ask questions. My hubby wears boxers around the house and was rarely nude around our daughter when she was young. Now at 3, if she sees her daddy in just boxers she always asks “daddy why you naked?!” 🤣 tho she never questions when I’m naked 🤣

My dad always walked around in his underwear in the morning. He once answered the door for my boyfriend (now husband) in his tidy whities which we appropriately call “gutchies”. I hate being naked so its not an issue for me but I do and plan to shower with my son until he’s old enough to do it himself as we don’t have a bathtub just a handicap shower.

I would start now, at least have him wear boxers when sleeping. Lol I never get people who sleep nude 🤣 I just couldn’t, I think about the sweat and sticking to each other
