First doctor visit at 7 weeks-is that too late?

Hello! I just found out today that I’m pregnant!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. I’m 4 weeks and this is my first baby!!!! I called my doctor to make my first appointment but their next available appointment until June 11th which would be my 7th week. Is this too long to wait?? I don’t know! I’ve never done this before!  Help!! Thank you!

Not to late at all. Most doctors wait until 8 weeks or even 12 weeks.

No most Drs won't see you till 8 or so weeks. I had my first appt at 7 weeks. Go for my next appt tomorrow I'll be 11w 1d.

I asked the exact thing on here, I thought it was odd! I'm 4 weeks and mine is on June 25th. Apparently its normal!

My first appointment with ultrasound was just recently at 8w4d and at first, I was really anxious with it being so late.  But now that it’s passed, I’m really glad it wasn’t any earlier because they found baby, found heartbeat, and did measurements all with ease!  If I had gone earlier and they couldn’t find XYZ, I would have been so stressed out!

Its ok you get excited to see that little pea inside you since its your very first ( i had those feelings too) but you can only see is little dot and sometime heartbeat come late or soon as depends on pregnancy .. you just get worried if u dont get it so its ok wait till 8 weeks till then eat healthy , stay positive and goodluck for healthy and happy 9 months.🥰

I was booked on for 8 weeks and the midwife at my doctors rang me and she wanted to see me earlier to chat and any questions especially as my forst. She checked I was on the right folic acid dose (which I wasnt) too

My doctor will see women with medicaid at 12 weeks, and private insurance at 8 weeks. That's pretty shitty Imo because medicaid will cover the appt, but it is what it is, im just glad I have private insurance these days.
