Non-Americans, what’s you’re overall view of America?

I’m just curious what people will say anonymously, I know most of us on this app are from the USA.

Latin/American here. While I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve had in this country, I think it’s not the “land of milk and honey” people STILL paint it out to be. It’s not “the best” at much of anything (not at taking care of the world/environment. Not at innovation. Not at education. Not at healthcare. Etc) & is only going downhill with this administration. People also hate admitting this & just live in a bubble of denial. And before any “if you don’t like it git outta here” comments fly in, that’s the attitude that I think keeps people from improving the country.

Neutral.I mean you guys have a lot of good, but you also have a lot of bad. I dare say you're a smidgen overly patriotic and blind to some of your faults. But you guys have a lot of opportunities and cool stuff.

The ideia that I have is that Americans in general are a bit ignorant and self-centered. I don't think you are as good as you think you are (as a country). As any other country/people you have good stuff and bad stuff. Personally I wouldn't won't to live there.

More negative than positive for sure, but hoping that things turn around soon. Since we’re neighbours whatever happens there will eventually affect Canada in one way or another. Would never want to live there and haven’t been for a few years, makes me a bit nervous now.

Hi! American here! Us Americans who are majorly Democratic/Liberal also believe that we as a nation can do a lot better, that we’re not the “best in the world” and that our Government SHOULD do better. I’m constantly upset and angry at my fellow Americans for how they treat others, and even their own people.. we should take note from other countries that are thriving. But many... will never look inwards at our own faults and will follow their “party” blindly... no matter the costs of the US citizens and the world.

Pretty negative. I refuse to even visit since Trump got elected, it just scares me that so many people voted for him, it really says something about the values of Americans (though I know he did not actually win the popular vote). Plus all of the gun violence, what’s gone on in Alabama this month. Just what I’ve learned about the American health care system on this app alone is actually horrifying.
