Clomid and Ovulation

Hi all. I’m wondering if you can help. I’ve had lots of tests recently due to sudden crazy long cycles and doc seems to think I’m not ovulating but can’t understand why. Anyway. I’ve been put on 1500mg of Metformin per day which I’ve been taking for about a month. On CD3 this month I started Clomid. I’m now on CD16 and I still haven’t had a positive opk. Yesterday and today I’ve been having AF type cramps, severe enough that I’ve needed Paracetamol. Had a big glob of EWCM and my cervix seems high, soft and open?? Are my OPKs false? Should I listen to my body instead? I’m so confused as if I’m not ovulating I have no idea what this is! Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you xx
