Day 2 on Earth

Praying for all of the May Mommas still waiting on your babies.

I was so scared to have my baby. I didn’t know how to take care of her or what to expect once she was born.

The first few times trying to breastfeed her were hard and unsuccessful but now she is getting the hang of it. I learned to swaddle and change a diaper.

One thing I didn’t know was that your uterus contracts while you breastfeed for the first few days, and it has made my stomach hurt so bad when she feeds, but it’s better after I accepted some pain medicine.

Once she was born I felt overwhelming peace. Now after 24 hours I feel confident that I can take care of her at home. I’m thankful my mom has been here to help me since I didn’t know what the hell I was doing.

I hope everyone waiting for their baby to arrive gets their moment of joy soon! We were born for this. The wait is worth the reward. Good luck to you all! 💗💕
