Wondering... how do his bottom gums look?

Any sight of a tooth?? He’s been making funny faces with his mouth and extra drooly; now I’m paranoid, pain? Do babies always have pain when the tooth pops? Or only some babies?

For us, there were no signs on his gums! They say sometimes the gums get swollen. My son has normal pink gums for months then literally last week, one of his bottom teeth sprouted out of nowhere. So this may happen with your LO!
(Please excuse his boogers and food on his face! I rushed to take this pic because I noticed it while he was eating and didn’t clean his face beforehand 😂

Hard to tell from the photo, Mama! But my guy had a TON of pain before his came through😩felt so bad for him but I also think he was just so young he didn’t know what to make of it all (17 weeks🙈)

My youngest son wasn’t bothered at all with teething he would have two at a time come through and didn’t phase him at all. But my oldest was constantly in pain and drooling.. our little girl been teething past few weeks I can see a white bud on her tooth but it’s not coming through yet.. you should be able to see a tooth come through the gums this is when they normally feel it more if they do at all.

My son who is now 3 never really seemed to be bothered with teething so it depends on the baby. Looks like it’s swollen and a bit white so tooth might be on it’s way!! You want to avoid Tylenol unless he truly is in pain as Tylenol can be bad for the liver when used in excess.

Some babies feel it (mine 🙋🏼‍♀️) others don’t. Drooling, red cheeks, and irritable are some signs they are teething. The gums will be swollen and you should see more “white” gums in the area where teeth are coming in.
