preeclampsia and baby aspirin
Is anyone here taking baby aspirin daily because they developed preeclampsia last pregnancy?
My blood pressure was creeping towards the end and spiked as soon as I went into labour (after being induced at 41+3) and I ended up diagnosed with preeclampsia, my bp didn’t drop on it’s own after birth so I had to go on medication after to get it back down.
I’m currently debating starting the daily low dose aspirin suggested by my midwife. Since my preeclampsia developed so late last time it’s less clear of if I need the aspirin or not. I know it’s considered for the most part safe but it’s not completely without risk and their isn’t much research on long term effects so I’m hesitant.
Just curious if any other moms in similar situations have decided to take it or not take it, as well as when they were diagnosed with preeclampsia with a previous pregnancy.
Thanks!!
