Leaking colostrum?

So I’m 35 weeks and I’ve been watching videos on how to hand express.
Well last night I decided to try just the technique. And my breast started to leak colostrum . I only tried once and when it happened I stop right away . I wanted to try the technique that way I’m somewhat ready to try to express as soon as my baby girl comes. So my question is . 
If I’m leaking already how soon until she comes.?
Should I continue hand express and store it .?

Don’t continue to hand express..and leaking doesn’t mean anything when it comes to labor. With my first pregnancy i leaked starting at 21wks. This pregnancy i started leaking around 30wks. Just shows your body is getting ready :)

Personally I do store a small amount of colostrum before delivery just in case I’m unable to feed right away like an emergency that causes me to under general anesthesia.  I don’t store a lot just a few 3 mil syringes but I freeze them and take them with me in a cooler with instructions to use them as the first feedings if necessary. It puts me more at ease knowing baby will get it even if I’m not available at the time.

You don’t have to store it. 
I chose to store a little bit of it because my previous child was so early and I was never able to breastfeed. I was only able to pump a few ml from each side and that was it.. 
I’m storing just a little now just Incase I’m in a position again where i just have a production issue or something happens but that’s just me. I don’t think most people store it though.

I could get colostrum out if I wanted to but really the best thing is to put baby to breast at the hospital, that’s how you get your body to stimulate making enough milk for the baby. If there is an issue with baby latching then you can express colostrum at the hospital and syringe feed it there until you can get the baby to latch. There is no correlation between being able to express milk and how early baby will come. I’ve EBF all 3 of my kids and never once expressed colostrum early for them. So it’s not something you need to do unless it makes you feel better.

Don’t hand express and store it. Your body will know when the baby is born and will generate more colostrum and eventually your milk will come in. It’s really just a good sign that you will have a great milk supply. 
With my first son I breastfed until he was 17 months old but it literally took almost a full year (if not a little longer) for my milk to fully dry up (not massive amounts where I was leaking but if I tried to hand express drops would come out). I think I first noticed around 30 weeks with him that I already had colostrum. Throughout breastfeeding I never had to supplement and was always able to supply plenty of milk. With this pregnancy (my second) I tried to “hand express” around 19 weeks and already had colostrum. 
So really it’s a great thing so don’t worry! Look up storing breast milk though and you will understand why you don’t want to store it. Breast milk only lasts a certain amount of time so if you expressed and stored now it wouldn’t be good when babe is here

Well I’ve been leaking colostrum since the ending of my second trimester which is normal, at times I can even squeeze my nipple a little and it’ll come out some women get colostrum weeks before labor and some don’t
