It may depend on the baby’s preference and also on the purpose, I would say swings are for quiet time and a bouncer for awake time if that’s what the baby likes. I also read an interesting book that mentioned that bouncers an encourage baby’s vestibular sense development so you might keep that in mind, please also note that very young babies may not like a bouncer until they are more coordinated.

Get a two in one. Then you’re covered. We didn’t use our swing as a bouncer until baby was like four months but then it was handy and I’m glad I didn’t have to make a separate purchase.

We had a duo swing/bouncer by Grace. My twins loved the swing part. The bouncer was okay because it was mobile and vibrated but it didn’t have toys attached. We could have purchased an attachment that had toys. The best part about the duo for us at the time is it was a space saver and I could bring the bouncers with me around the house or for outside time. The twins also developed reflux so we used the bouncer as their prop chair while their food digested.  VERY MULTI-FUNCTIONAL.
