Name Controversy
Sorry for the long post, need to get some things out. Years ago I wrote in a notepad, the names of my future kids. Now that I'm pregnant I told my husband the names and he loves them. His brother and his wife have been trying but haven't had any luck conceiving. So we told them the names we picked out, thinking it might cheer them up or at least making them feel just a little better, give them the privelidge, because we are not telling anyone. Wrong decision ever, months later his brother sent him a text asking to change the name because is similar to what they have thought. Yes they are similar but they sound different. The one that we thought is Elena (Spanish sound) the one that they thought is Lena (Greek sound) We are keeping the gender a surprise, so we don't even know if we are having a girl or a boy. I don't care if names are similar, I'll be honest until he pointed out, I will not have even notice. Should I even bother? My husband is sad because he loves the name that we picked (he was thinking on calling the baby Elie) and now because of this is going to make the relationship with his brother even worst (they are a little bit distant). We always been the easy going, so is kind of sad that they put us in that situation
