D&C?? Anyone else have one?

So I went in for my 12 week check up. And the dr. Couldn’t find the heart beat with the lil Doppler thingy. So we went to do an ultrasound and it showed the baby with no heartbeat. Measuring at only 9 weeks. They said I had what’s called a missed miscarriage. And that given how much tissue there is, because my body still thinks it’s prego so I kept growing, they want to do a D&C. I have no idea what to expect from this. Before and after care? I don’t know. I’m scared no have never had any procedure bigger than getting a tooth pulled. Not even a broken bone or needing stitches. Anyone else know what to expect that can maybe help calm my nerves? And if so. I’m sorry for your losses. ❤️
