Should i call my OB and let them know what's going on? Okay I'm 35+6 today and I just started house sitting for my SO mom while she's on vacation. Last night was the first night we slept in their bed. Well I woke up at 3am to pee and while peeing I noticed my elbows we're itchy as heck so I scratched them but i didn't think nothing of it. I looked in the mirror because my eyes felt heavier than normal and noticed my top eyelids were a little swollen but weren't itchy at all. I looked at my elbows and there was red bumps covering my elbows and they itched so bad. I woke my SO up and he was worried saying did you touch any bushes trying to rule out what it could be and I said no so we automatically cut poison ivy out of the equation. We had thought fleas or mosquito but didn't make sense. We were more worried about my eyes so I called my mom who lives 3 minutes from his mom's house and she said she was coming to take me to ER. We get there around 4am and they tell me it's hives and they prescribed me benadryl and some stomach medicine called pepicid or something like that which apparently helps treat hives too and told me if it got worse, spread or I started swelling to go back in. I took 50mg of benadryl and we left hospital. Well I make it home around 6am and fall asleep on the couch around 7:30 am and I wake up feeling fine my hives went down still there but not as noticeable and not as itchy and my eyes swelled down I thought I was fine. Couple hours later I noticed it started coming back and spreading up my forearms, on my knees and lower thighs. Around 9pm I went to get some calamine lotion from Walmart and when I got there notice my right index and middle finger swelling so i bought the calamine, hurried out and let my mom know I was heading back to ER and she said to pick her up on way so I did. We get there and they confirmed it's an allergic reaction to something and I caught it right as it was starting and I'm breaking out in hives, EVERYWHERE. They give me more treatment some lotion to put on 3x a day and I went home and I had washed sheets with soap my skin is familiar with and rubbed myself down in the lotion and took a benadryl before I realized both my hands were swelling. I then ran to Meijer with my SO to grab some ice packs and couldn't even drive home because I was so drowsy off one benadryl. I get home and lay down and fall asleep around 12:30am. My hives are warm to the touch and any wind makes me shiver, I woke up at 3:30am again and noticed my face is swollen and covered in hives and my hands are still swollen and now I have hives on my stomach. It's 4:40 am now and can I just say I've had the worst past 24 hours. I'm already miserable and uncomfortable and this random hive breakout is just irrelevant. I'm over it all! I've been stressing and a big nervous wreck over all of this because I'm such a hypochondriac lol. Mind you I've only ever been diagnosed severely allergic to mold and I've not seen any mold around here and even when I've came in contact past times with mold this has never happened. Also still don't know what is causing me to have this allergic reaction.
