Some redness & discharge is okay, but I’d keep a close eye on it from here on out to be safe. Take a few q-tips and dip them in rubbing alcohol & gently swab/clean the area once a day. If you notice the area is getting more red/pink or the redness is spreading, feels hot to the touch, has a very foul odor (some odor is normal though!), baby has a fever, definitely take her to be seen immediately to rule out infection. 😊

Looks totally normal to me. Once the cord falls off the other part will dry out.

Looks totally normal to me! That’s what my firsts looked like, and the doctors saw it because she was in the NICU and said it was fine!

When the dried off part of my sons fell off, that’s what it looked like underneath. It finished drying out and was able to take it out last night. But, if it’s something that’s making you nervous, don’t hesitate to get it checked!
