Has anyone noticed their period being shorter since going vegan??

I’ve been vegetarian for a year and half and noticed my period went from 5 to 4 days. Now it’s 2-3 very light spotting. Not complaining at all.

My period has always been short: HOWEVER... I used to be in excruciating pain every period when I ate meat growing up - like on the floor weak and vomiting in pain with the most intense cramps kind of pain - but since I’ve gone vegan my cramps are significantly less bothersome! Cramps may hurt for a couple hours and then I’m perfectly fine (less other gross period symptoms)
Except on the other hand - they’re a lot heavier 😅🤷🏼‍♀️ so I can’t win 😂

Mine is pretty much the same length but I do not cramp at all anymore! So many things have improved for me since going vegan.

I watched this video on this woman basically explaining that if your having a period for 7 days that it’s basically hemorrhaging at that point that it’s like your body trying to get rid of all the toxins from the dairy, meat, etc that we eat & how when you go vegan you start to see a decrease in that. I don’t know accurate that was because I never did more research on it, so don’t quote me! But I always found it very interesting.

Yeah. Same here. Cut back on dairy and I dropped two jeans sizes without any exercise and my period flow became considerably less heavier. It lasts two days of heavy bleeding, before it was 5, 6 days of ultra heavy bleeding.

I just cut out meat and dairy, I’m on week 3. I’m shedding old blood and brown tissue. Could this be from 3 weeks without it?

Go to your gyno, just because you like a lighter period doesnt mean its better. So many vegans lose their period after a while because of what its doing to their body. I'd make sure you're not consuming a bunch of shit and getting all your fat soluble vitamins and healthy fats. Most vegans don't est healthy and as a result, they end up aging themselves and harming their body. There's not a thing wrong with meat, its healthy. Dairy is hard on some people, but the fats and vitamins are good from it.
