So, me and my boyfriend both travel for theatre a lot, and this summer we took jobs in Missouri and Massachusetts, so we’re a hot minute apart. My boyfriend started his job a week before I left for mine, so by the time my move in date came up, he had been working for a bit.

Upon move in, I got a little stressed due to some stuff happening with the house I was assigned so I asked him to give me a call when he was off work. He called me right away, but when I was expressing my stress, he wasn’t listening and giving me the short one word answers. I assumed he was tired so I told him goodnight and hung up.

He called me back immediately and asked if we could talk about some stuff, and brought up ya breaking up. The week he was gone and I wasn’t, we had a fight about communication and he was very adamant if we broke up, we wouldn’t be getting back together.

However, when he was talking about breaking up now, he suggested we get back together when we’re in the same place again in August.

We didn’t decide anything while we were on the phone, and we exchanged a few texts afterwards, ultimately for him to leave me on read.

And that was two days ago, and I haven’t heard a peep from him, however I’ve seen his social media posts.

Should I assume we’re broken up? I’ve tried to talk to him since but I’ve just been left on read and don’t feel like there’s anymore reaching out to do.

Is it even worth it to get back together in August at this point,
