Do they not do the heartbeat at the first ultrasound anymore?

I went for my first one and they didn’t let me hear it, they told me the bpm. I go back at 14 weeks to hear it. I was 9 weeks at my ultrasound, I’m just confused lol.

I didn’t hear mine either. Just saw it on the screen and they told me the bpm.

My doctor said it wasn't safe in the first trimester. Saw it though. I didn't hear it until an early diagnostic scan at 13 weeks.

I don’t remember if we actually heard the heartbeat but the ultrasound tech showed us the flickering on the screen! (Which I actually thought was even cooler!)

They didn’t just in case i miscarried. They did at my 12 week appointment

I didn't get to hear mine at 9 weeks, she showed me on the screen and told me the bpm. At 12 weeks they let me hear it. I'm not sure what the reasoning is though.

She didn’t let me hear or tell me the BPM. I only saw the flicker on the screen.

I had to ask to hear it, she said the machine was older and not made to read sounds so I may not be able to hear it but she tried and I heard it clear as day :)

I haven't heard the heartbeat yet either I'm 16 weeks I think at my next midwife appointment I will get to hear it in a couple of weeks x
