What are some of your rules you have for the hospital after baby is born?

This is my second child. With my first I had visitors from the moment I was in labor up until we was discharged. I feel differently with this pregnancy and I don’t want that. Can you tell me what some of your rules are?

This is my first baby, but these are my rules:
1. No visitors til I'm ready (other than my mom, she'll be there the entire time)
2. No kissing baby
3. Do not come if you're sick, even if it's just sniffles.
3. Wash hands before holding my baby.
4. If you smell like cigarette smoke, don't hold baby.

I personally don't tell anyone when I go into labor. If I feel up to it, I will let close family (my mom and sister) visit the next day. But then I don't announce on any social media or anything until baby is about a week old so we don't have to deal with a bunch of people asking to come visit until we are settled and feel 100% up for visits.

I have a question about the no kissing rule. Do you think kissing the head is ok? I understand face is a no-go (for others not including us or everyone?) and we won't be kissing baby on the lips anyway, but I thought head would be safe. What does everyone think?

Very likely having a c section. We are only allowing our parents and daughter the first day. We have 3 siblings and spouses we will let visit and two close friends. That’s it. We will probably limit visits to 30-45 mins. Everyone else we are telling they have to wait until we get home and adjusted. Thankfully with this being the second we haven’t had as many people asking. We will be there 3-4 days so it will be pretty spread out. 
Obv no one can come if they are sick at all and everyone has to wash their hands.
We had lots of visitors with our first and it almost gets overwhelming. I love all of our family and friends but I’m definitely more of an introvert and need time away from social situations to be able to enjoy having a new baby and not feel overwhelmed.

Only immediate family is allowed to visit at the hospital. Once we’re home I’ll allow more people to visit, but only a couple and for very short periods. My daughter is 18 months old so I remember the postpartum pain clearly and just want to relax
