Is it necessary to wash brand new baby clothes before they are worn? I have so many! And so little time. 😐

Yes, it's definitely necessary. You have no idea the chemicals they sorry them with to keep them from wrinkling and keep the color in transit.
Plus the large amount of germs and bacteria from whoever touched them from the store they were in?

You never know what's in those 3rd world country factories. I don't think you'd take your baby's shirt and let those workers cough on it and put it all over their equipment which could have things like pesticides, bacteria etc. Even if it's new in the wrapper, wash it. Just because someone's baby seemed "fine" doesn't mean it's not nasty. You could put your baby on a toilet seat and baby could seem "fine" but that doesn't mean it isn't risky or gross.

I think they smell so much nicer after they've been washed! They also smell like "home" and mom and dad so I think they'll make baby feel better. (I also agree with what everyone else has said about chemicals and germs ND dirt).

It takes two seconds to throw clothes in the washer then the dryer. Clothing factories have rats/rat poop, people coughing and sneezing all over them, dirt and dust, who knows what some folks touch w their hands then tough those clothes.....   wash them. And the bibs, blankets, covers, etc.

I definitely would and did with my first 2. Will again with this one. I’d rather wash it then to put baby in chemically sprayed clothes. I know they’ll probably still be okay but gives me peace of mind. Plus makes them smell even better lol

I didn't and my baby is fine, my mom didn't and I'm fine, my friend didn't and her kid is fine. I didn't feel like starting the never ending washing early.

I don’t think it would be the end of the world if you don’t, but I knew with my first baby that I wanted to just in case he had sensitive skin like me (he now has eczema like me). If you do wash them, use detergent that is fragrance and dye-free! I prefer All Free or Dreft baby detergent.

Many infant/baby/children clothes have a special flame retardants in it that activate after the first washing. Flame retardant clothes are important to kids bc they don’t k ow how to move from fires or hot things so it helps their clothes keep them safe. 
That being said...
Will your child get sick bc you held off washing hair clothes once? Nope. Will it make you a bad mom? Nope if you want to wash them then yes. If not then don’t stress about it.
