Baby’s here!
We are safe and happy at home! Got a membrane sweep last Weds. Was in prodromal labor for 3 days starting 1 am Friday. Very early Monday morning I started bleeding a good amount, and by the time I got to L&D at 2:30 am I was 6 cm dilated! My contractions never hit 5 mins apart, so I was just roughing it out and waiting since they kept saying to follow the 5-1-1 rule. Guess that didn’t apply to me! Contractions slowed down so I needed Pitocin to speed them up, and after 3 hours (😱) of pushing, my little girl finally came into the world at 4:18 pm. She flipped sunny side up after being in the perfect position while I was pushing for the last 2 months, of course, so it was tough getting her out. Dr said I was one of the “best pushers” she’s seen 😂 This high risk pregnancy has been a roller coaster, but in the end it was all worth it.
