May 20th had my membranes swept at 39 week appointment not due until May 28th, nothing the 20th, 21st we had our bloody show, May 22nd i started having contractions at 3am, at 8am called hubby home to come home and take me to the hospital as contractions were every 6-7 minutes lasting about a minute long and we live an hour away from the hospital. When we got there around 9:30 (there was alot of traffic)they checked my cervix and surprisingly i was 5cm and 70% effaced but not active labor yet. They let me walk for 30 minutes and come back went to walk and came back and was 6cm. They broke my water at 11am and sat at 6cm for 3 hours. At 2 they started potocin and that got me going. At 4pm they checked my cervix still 6cm. I couldnt relax because i was having contractions right on top of eachother and lasting a minute to a minutes and a half so i asked for an epidural at 5pm since it rushed things with my first daughter. 5:15 finally had relief! At 6:05 i was telling my mom i hopped i didnt poop on the doctor when i had her and said speaking of poop i need to poop now they called the nurse in to check me and she said well look at you your 10cm lets give us a practice push(not a good idea😂) i pushed once and her head almost came out so they said i cant let my legs down and to wait because she needed to find the doctor, 20 seconds later she comes in and doctor looks and says well you are a show off baby is gonna be out in the next 2 minutes shes almost here, one more push and she was out. I pushed for 3 minutes. Aleyah'Nikole Ariana Martinez was born at 6:11pm weighing 6 pounds 3 ounces, 20 inches long. Big sister was there for it all as we had the epidural my grandma went to the store thinking i would have 2 hours until pushing and left big sister there. We just gave her netflix told her not to look at mommy and she did exactly as asked.
