Happy Due Date!!
Since today is my due date I thought I'd share my birth story!
On May 13th I started contracting at 4a.m.. They were about 5 min apart but tolerable, so I tried sleeping between them but the excitement set in that I could possibly be meeting my little girl. At about 630 I told my hubby that I didnt think he would be going into work cause we'd be having our baby soon. At about 8 I decided to go in to L&D to get checked out. I had been at about 1cm since 36 wks, I was 38&3. So we get to the hospital and get hooked up to the monitors and checked for dilation. Contractions were 2-3 min apart but I was still sitting at 1.5cm. An hour later I get checked again and still at 1.5 cm so I get sent home. I go through the rest of the day still contracting. At about 7pm I decide to go in again because my contractions were getting stronger so I was sure I had dilated more. Nope I was wrong!!! Got monitored for 2 hours with no progress, they finally gave me a shot to try and help with the pain and let me rest. The L&D nurse said my dr wanted to see my first thing in the morning to check me out and possibly get a sweep done. So I get home, shower and get into bed. Thankfully I was able to get some sleep, but at about 2am my contractions definitely intensified. Hubby wanted to take me in but I put it off since I was going to be seeing my dr later that morning. Fast forward to my dr appt, he comes in and says that it could possibly just be early labor and it could go on for days before I go into active labor. But he checks me and as soon as he gets in there he says oh no you're definitely having this baby today. I had finally dilated to 4cm!!!!!!! So my sister in law calls my hubby and tells him its baby day!! So we get to L&D @1030am and get put in a room right away. Get hooked up to the pitocin an hr later and my water gets broken an hr after that. After that everything happened so fast by 330pm I was ready to push!! On May 14th @ 413pm my little princess was born!!! 7lbs 10 oz 19 in long and a FULL head of hair!!!
After about 36 hrs of labor & no epidural I'd do it all over again!!! ❤❤❤❤
