I’m engaged now. My ex and I haven’t been together for almost 2 years.

We caught up, he wished my fiancé safe travels and to be safe in the navy, and we caught up with our families and how everything is going

Then I ended the convo with I’m going to bed it was good talking to you glad you are doing well.

And he was like I hope we can stay in touch.

And I told him out of respect for my fiancé I don’t think it’s a good idea. It was good catching up and everything but I don’t think it’s okay stay in touch out of respect for my future husband.

I told him I hope he stays safe and ended the convo.

Was I rude to say that? I hate doing this to people. But he’s an ex I use to fuck w heavy, and he just broke up with his girl so he was probably trying to come at me and I just can’t let that even try to happen, I can’t even give him that chance ya know? I hope I wasn’t rude, I hate being rude. I have such a big heart to people.

So he was up to something because he said he’ll respect that but then said he was sorry for the way he treated me. Like no 🙄 no reason to bring up the past so my response was that because of our past I met my amazing fiancé so 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m thankful for it.
