If you think you're trying to compete with a memory and will never measure up you should probably move on. If he just misses her as a good friend that he knows isn't in his life anymore that may be worth working through. Everyone tends to think "what if" about past relationships from time to time. But  if he hasn't  assured you that he knows you're the right partner for him now, I would think about moving on.

You have every right to be upset. Because for three years he’s been with you and still don’t know if he wants you fully. Trust me it doesn’t end good at least for me it didn’t.
