How do you ladies have a c-section more then one time??

I had my first c-section and idk if I am just a baby or what but from my experience last week I never want to get pregnant again if I have to have another c-section. Vaginal birth was not as bad for me I did that twice and would rather again. My c-section experience was just awful the spinal block hurt more then an epidural I couldn't walk for almost 24 hours. I couldn't control my shaking in the OR like I was rocking the top have of the bed I was shaking so hard I felt sick the entire time in the OR and my healing process has sucked very painful and I have nerve damage idk if that's all normal but if it is idk how ladies do it more then once.. that is mental birth control for me lol

I’m sorry. I think c sections are pretty scary too. I had mine in March 2018 with my son, and it was a scheduled c section. I read enough about it to feel that I understood what to expect without getting too overwhelmed. Mine was pretty uneventful—I got super nauseous during the procedure, but they immediately gave me some medicine that made it better. I was very shaky and itchy after, but Benadryl cleared it up quickly. I wanted a VBAC for my September baby so much, but after reading the VBAC consent form on Friday, I can’t. It was such intense language, and I can’t take those risks for my family. It’s a repeat csection for me, which I’m not thrilled about, but I am glad that it’s an option. I’ll be all over the nursing staff to have mine be as uneventful as they made it last time. I wish you luck with whatever choices you make in the future & that your long term recovery is easy.

I refuse to get a c section. It terrifies me ( possibly because of Google ). I've had all natural births but with this pregnancy my OBGYN is really pushing me to schedule one so I can get my tubes tied. I'm most likely getting paraguard instead. I think anyone who gets a c section is a warrior, truly. My mom thinks I've lost my marbles lol she said she prefers that over vaginal delivery and I'm nuts for not scheduling.

I’m so sorry you had such a bad experience. I really think it has a lot to do wth the experience of the doctor who performs the surgery. I had to have an emergency csection with my first and, although going back was scary because I thought we were losing my baby, the rest of everything was so calm. My recovery was very easy. I was sick from the spinal and itchy from it, but they gave me meds to take it away. I’ll know to ask for those first this time. I’m actually terrified of vaginal birth. It’s csection all the way. But this babe is our last due to the complications I’ve had and we have to take her at 37 weeks.

I had the same feeling. I remember looking at my baby and husband thinking there is no way in hell im doing this again and I felt so much guilt. The feeling stayed the same for a while.... but I’m 9 months out from the csection and I’m always talking about having another baby. I’m terrified of it also. My recovery was long and hard but I just tell myself it’s such a short period of time. I can get through it again! So can you. Give it time. You only feel this way because you still feel the pain. Your honest feelings will come through once you’re pain free and feeling back to normal.

Sorry you went through such a awful time. C-sections are different each time please try not to let it put you off. I had 2 emergency ones and one was a breeze the other i nearly lost my life but against all odds i look at my son at 2.5 yrs old
And would do it again tmrw !!

I definitely prefer vagina over csection for all aspects as well. Depending on why you need the csection there is a large chance you qualify for a vbac if you get pregnant again. I am pregnant again now and my doctors is fully on board for a vbac. We went through the calculator and he printed off tons of info for me.
