Progesterone - when to stop?

Question

Anyone taking progesterone supplementation during their first trimester? I’m taking suppositories and my doctor told me to stop taking them at 10 weeks but I’m scared that my placenta hasn’t started progesterone production yet! I see in some research some took until 12 weeks. When did your doctor say to stop?

Your placenta starts taking over anywhere from 8-10 weeks. My fertility doctor was strict about stopping at 10 weeks. I did this with my last pregnancy and had no complications and carried to term. I’m pregnant again and stopped at 10 weeks once more. I’m 14 weeks and baby is strong and healthy!
