We step out and quietly close the door not making any noise. We run up to the fence and start climbing.

I can hear josh yelling at some of his men. “You lost Mason too!! What the hell!”

I get to the top and hop down the other side. Mason follows.

Come on follow me, hurry. He gestures.

We run through the forest as fast as we can. I couldn’t stop smiling. We are finally out.

Ya let’s run towards town. He answers.

We get to the road and slow down.

Ok let’s find a bus. He smiles.

Yes please! I smile back.

The bus stops a block away from my house.

I take a deep breath as I climb off the bus.

God it seems like we have been gone for years! Mason finally says.

I frown. Mason what do you think they are going to say. What if my parents don’t trust you anymore?

He sighs. Hannah we don’t have a choice at this point we have to tell them. Your parents will tell the cops. The cops will get rid of the Normans. It’s the only way to stop the Normans from attacking us.

I still frown to myself Im so scared that they won’t let me see Mason anymore.

I take his hand in mine as we walk up the front steps of my house.

I turn and look at him. Are you sure this is the only way? I don’t want the police to take you away too.

Yes. Don’t worry. Everything will be fine. He hugs me and kisses my forehead.

I sigh and we walk in.
