My Menstrual Disc Experience

I woke up this morning at 1am feeling TERRIBLE! My period was 6 days late so I knew it had to be coming... and it came with a bang. I scurried to the bathroom and when I wiped, it was a CRIME SCENE! I bought the Softdiscs from Target to try out once my period came. I’m tired of tampons yk?

HERE’S HOW THEY DID:

The very first time I put it in, I was a little confused. It slipped in like a glove, but I didn’t tuck it behind my pubic bone enough, so it did leak some. but thank goodness I was home so I took it out and showered.

The next time I put one in, it slipped in like a glove again and I made sure to tuck it behind that bone. There were no leaks at all and I actually went to a fair and rode some crazy rides- zigging me around, going upside down, you name it- and it stayed in place! I did have to change it after about 10 1/2 hours when it’s supposed to be 12, but I had a crazy heavy flow today.

Although it was very easy to take out, it was incredibly messy. Make sure to keep the wrapper it came in because you will need to put it in there to throw it away. That’s the only thing I didn’t like, but it’s expected.

I really want to see if my boyfriend will be okay with having sex to see if it really isn’t noticeable to him or me. You really can’t feel it throughout the day because it is supposed to mold to the shape of your body, so we will seee...

I’m really excited about these and think that this will be my new go-to period protection!
