Hi! I’m Ashley. I’m 18 and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 1 year ago this June (but they have believed I’ve had it since about 13-14). I’ve always struggled with my periods (heavy flows, awful cramps, etc.) but it’s 10x worse with fibromyalgia (at least for me) because I always get a flare when I’m on my period. It hurts to even bend over to change my pads. I tried using tampons and menstrual cups but they’re just too painful. I’m gonna contact my OBGYN about the birth control implant but my insurance might not cover it. Any advice for people like me and how to deal with their periods while always in pain?
