How long did it take you to dry up or almost dry up after breastfeeding?

I’ve been breastfeeding for a little over a year, and my baby still prefers breast milk over food. I’m slowly trying to wean and give him less breast milk and more food. Anyways I was wondering how long after you stopped breastfeeding did it take you to basically dry up?

I only breastfed for a week due to complications, I had breast milk for 3 months after I was supried even on birth control pills

A few weeks, but a was also pregnant without knowing it.

I weaned slowly, dropping a feeding every 3-4 days. This allowed me to dry up naturally with minimum engorgement, pain, or leaking. By the end I was nursing once every other day and then i was just done when I no longer felt full. I know everyone is different but it worked extremely well for me and I highly recommend it if you have the time to slow down rather than go cold turkey

I think a few weeks—I started weaning at the year mark with my first and 3 weeks later, we stopped (I mean it was gradual but that was the end point). 
The weird part is that when I had my next baby my milk was in right away and I was told that was because my milk never really left...🤨🤔 I stopped breastfeeding in March and got pregnant again that August. That’s what the doctor and a lactation consultant told me but idk, I didn’t feed, pump, feel a random letdown, experience leaks etc so I’m not sure about that.
