Stepping on toes advice?
You know all the special first things when you have kids that you buy them such as their first bike, etc. Well my in laws have kind of started stepping on our toes with this stuff. They’ve already told us they’re buying his first bike and other stuff that we wanted to have be a special thing from mom and dad. We’re grateful but it’s just frustrating. Like for Christmas they will probably buy him more stuff than we can and I don’t know what to do. We’re grateful for them loving him and wanting to take care of him. I just don’t want him spoiled or thinking they love him more or will buy him more than us. I also don’t want him being obsessed with getting things and like them more because they’ll do that. It’s also with clothes too. We bought him this cute 4th of July outfit and then they said they bought him one instead. Then we bought him outfits for a vacation we’re taking with them and they just called and said they already bought all of his outfits they want him wearing there. And I’m worried it will only continue with Halloween costumes, birthdays, and more. How do I handle this???
