Do you nurse to sleep?

I know it creates bad sleep associations but it's hard not to do it when my 6 month old is fighting sleep for hours every night and I KNOW a surefire way to get him to bed.

My son is 9 months and I still nurse him to sleep, I don’t really care but then again he is able to fall asleep without nursing sometimes.

I stopped nursing my youngest to sleep around 11 months, but before then I for sure did it because it was the only way she would sleep.

I stopped around 6 months when we moved her to her crib. Before bed we added a book between nursing and laying her down and in the middle of the night I only nurse until she stops swallowing and then unlatch her. She went from waking up 5-6 times a night to only 1-3 times which was a success in my book.

Yes. I consider it a good sleep association and a healthy soothing method to put a baby to sleep. 🤷‍♀️

I have been for naps but I only do it at bedtime as a last resort. I have mixed feelings about it but I keep coming back to the fact that it works for a reason. It feels very natural and peaceful.

14 months and still nursing my baby to sleep. Every time I think of doing the CIO method to stop night feeds my heart just aches. So I pray she stops on her own pretty soon

I nursed my son to sleep until he was 18 mos. I slowly phased it out when I weaned him, substituting it with a drink of water and a cuddle while we read some books. He sleeps 12 hours and bedtime usually takes 30 mins or less. Sometimes only 10 or so minutes before he says “sleep” and gets into bed on his own. I plan on feeding baby 2 to sleep as well. It’s an easy way to soothe so why not

I nurse to sleep for bedtime and babe has been sleeping 6 hour blocks since he was two weeks old. Now gives me 7 or 8 most nights and he’s only ten weeks.

I did until my milk dried up with this pregnancy. We were fully switched to formula and did bottle and rocking to sleep till about 10 months- she’s got so many teeth so we decided to do the bottle then teeth brushing. She’s one now and I try not to rock except last resort. It’s getting harder and harder to get her to stay sleeping as I lower her in the crib with my 26 week belly. It’s currently 326 am and she’s awake and I’m sitting on the chair and she’s in her crib not sleeping 😔 super tired. Most nights she sleeps through the night. Tonight is not one of them.

My son is 6months and we nurse to sleep, as well as we bed share, and he does wake up make 1-2 during the night to eat for a little and then goes back to bed, we will be moving soon and then will be trying to get him to sleep in his own crib and I’m hoping he doesn’t cry to much and actual enjoys having his own space.
