Mucinex during fertile window?

Has anyone heard of this strategy to help with fertility? Has anyone used this themselves and been successful? Or just a weird old wives tale?

Make sure it’s just the basic Mucinex. Years ago an ENT told me to consider it a vitamin and take one every day year round- i have significantly fewer ear infections/clogged ears and sinus infections now. But for fertility purposes, it’s mostly a 12-hour pill. So I would say twice a day starting a day before your fertile period.

It thins your cervical mucus making it easy for sperm to move. I had an obgyn tell to take it for that purpose.

There was another post about that not too long ago and a few said it’s the only way it worked for their BRPs. I’m curious too..:as to when you starting it, etc.
