1-2cm dilated

Hi!

I saw my Dr yesterday and she said I was 1-2cm dilated and cervix is thin. She said she thinks I’ll go into labor this week and most likely will won’t make it to next weeks appointment. But- reading online several people are saying they stay at this stage for weeks or even a month. Anyone have experience with this??
